Bala has a strong fleet of Laser 2000s. The fleet has been growing steadily over the last few years. The popularity of L2Ks at Bala perhaps reflects the growth of the class in the UK with more than two thousand boats sold in ten years. Laser 2000s appeal to families and racers alike. The strong Class Association runs an active racing circuit but also a family orientated "L2K play". If you are interested in sailing a 2000 then come along one weekend. The fleet is very friendly and we should be able to fix up a joyride! |

On Saturday 28th April we are planning a Laser 2000 fleet day. Maybe a picnic cruise down the lake, Turbo races, rigging clinic, tweaks and bling my boat? Let John Haywood know what you want to do.

Rigging Manuals Laser has an updated rigging manual available for download (see links section). The new manual has better illustrations, colour pictures and information relating to the newer masts and spreaders. A copy has been left in the club house, along with the old version. Also, for the Class Association members only, there are several tuning guides and top tips articles available online, see the library section. |
