Race Training and Coaching Sessions 2008
Bala SC members only

Why train? Well have you ever noticed that certain sailors pop out the front of most starts, round the windward mark up at the front of the fleet and generally seem to make all the other manoeuvres around the race track seem effortless?

Luck I hear you all shout! None of it says I - coaching, practice, practice, practice, practice and more practice is the answer. There is no substitute for time on the water, but most people need guidance from a coach on the skills they need to work on and a structured training programme that will build up these necessary skills.

In previous years we have run day long training sessions a number of times during the year, but these have only had limited success.

Laser 2000 training

This year we are offering coaching sessions for a particular class or group of sailors (minimum 4 of similar ability works best) who would like to improve their skills on the water or just get into racing. The only requirement is that you have RYA level 2/3 or equivalent experience.

For more information or to book a session contact Phil Smith, Helen Smith or Dave Eccles - see Officers page for contact detrails
